Postsecondary education leader Steven Taylor joins Stand Together Trust

Steven Taylor, founder and former CEO of ED2WORK®, has joined Stand Together Trust (STT) as Senior Fellow for Postsecondary Education. Among other contributions, Taylor will provide thought leadership on how to provide the individualized education pathways and opportunities learners need for success, both now and in the future.

Taylor and STT share a commitment to finding solutions that support all learners in accessing a variety of education pathways at every step of their career and lives.

“As someone who is devoted to the concept of the ‘working learner,’ Steven has been an innovator in the postsecondary education sector for nearly 15 years,” said STT Executive Director Derek Johnson. “He is committed to ensuring every individual has the chance to develop their talents in a way that fits their unique needs and demands. We’re proud to welcome Steven to STT.”

Taylor founded ED2WORK® two years ago with the mission of mobilizing educators, talent leaders, and learner advocates to equip people with the skills they need to succeed in future work and learning environments. Before founding ED2WORK®, Taylor led national academic innovation initiatives at the American Council on Education (ACE), which included oversight of ACE CREDIT®, serving as managing consultant for ACE’s National Task Force on Transfer of Credit, and developing and leading ACE’s teaching and learning innovation body of work.

“Growing our capacity to serve increasingly diverse populations and helping them to succeed in future work and learning requires that we mobilize the ideas and talent of social entrepreneurs into a network of problem solvers,” said Taylor. “That’s what Stand Together Trust and the Stand Together community are all about, and that’s why I’m proud to join this team.”

In addition to his other previous roles, Taylor served as a past adviser on digital technology upskilling for the Greater Washington Partnership and taught and developed courses on organizational development and experiential learning at Wilmington University in Delaware, where he earned his doctorate in business administration. He earned his M.S. and B.S. degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce. As he joins STT, Taylor will transition to a senior adviser role for ED2WORK® and chair its Advisory Council.
