Government is one of the key institutions of society; necessary to protect individuals’ rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet today, our governing institutions are dominated by a paradigm of top-down control from both sides of the political spectrum that threaten constitutional norms like separation of powers and due process.

These top-down paradigms do not come from nowhere. Rather, they represent the values and principles of those who occupy positions of influence within governing institutions. To address this concern and support future leaders, Stand Together Trust is interested in supporting managers opening new entry-mid-level role(s) within classical liberal organizations who can serve as mentors to new government and policy-oriented talent at 50% of the cost of the role. Interested applicants should briefly describe the responsibilities and expectations of the role, how it would complement the existing work of the organization, and estimated salary range.

Looking for:

• A visionary leader within the organization to mentor the new hire(s) and commit to that individual’s long-term success.
• A commitment to the new role during and after the duration of the grant support.
• A focus on policy and/or policy-related roles (i.e. legislative affairs, communications, etc.)
• Willingness to participate in a community of practice with other hiring managers/mentors receiving Stand Together Trust support for new roles.
